Want to meet a man or ten 24/7? Head to the 31 Ten bar & lounge!

It’s fitting that the space currently called 31 Ten used to be known as Cache, because this is one bar you’d like to remain a secret (at least from other women). This new Santa Monica, Cali. hotspot is so chock-full of sexy single guys that you might feel like a kid in a candy store!

I checked out the newly-opened westside hangout Saturday night on a friend’s recommendation, and was very, very glad I did. The bar is one pretty damn sexy locale with its candlelit ambiance, fire pit, wood floors and sandblasted ceilings. It’s not only a great place to meet fellow singletons, but a fab place to go on a date, as well.

Please don’t judge a book by its cover here: when I first walked up to 31 Ten and saw two beautifully outfitted bouncers, I was pissed off that someone (namely, the team behind Ado, Paolo Cesaro and Antonio Mure) had brought Hollywood douchebaggery to one of my favorite cities in California. I was also unimpressed by the gorgeous crowd lounging artfully on the bar’s sunken couches: model types and gorgeous Trustafarian hipsters seemed to be hanging out there by the droves. Ugh. No thanks!

However, there were so many dudes in the joint that I couldn’t help but approve. I even saw Venice staple Andrew Keegan walking in and out looking self-important (I swear, that guy is everywhere I go these days!) several times. And what’s a party without Andrew Keegan?

At the end of the day, there’s something here for everyone — and I’m not just talking about the food (reasonably priced) or the wine list (extensive). No, I am, of course, talking about the men. From a young advertising exec to an indie director to a screenwriter to the boy next door, there is every type of guy here for your perusal. But before you go thinking this sounds like the Applebee‘s of bars, I must tell you that 31 Ten is pure class — as are the appearances of the dudes that hang out there. But then, appearances can be deceiving…

Unfortunately, the 31-10 in the lounge’s name is not the ratio of men to women. Nope, the 3110 referred to is that of the bar’s address: 3110 Main St., Santa Monica. Still, chances are pretty good – regardless of the ratio – that you’re going to meet someone you’ll (at the very least) want to make out with. Just remember what I said about meeting men in bars…
