I’m 31 today. It’s time to stop messing around

I think about getting older the same way that I do most unpleasant things: I avoid it. I try to enjoy life on a day to day basis without thinking about the bigger picture of tomorrow. But as I wake up on my first morning as a 31-year-old, ever so-slightly hungover from a night of revelry with great friends and good wine, I realize that it might be time to stop living like the twenty-something I used to be, start acting my age and stop falling for the men I know won’t last.
