NBC

As a former celebrity reporter, I’m all too aware how well celebrity sells. Kristen Stewart is wearing a Lucky Brand jacket? Damn! You just have to have it, don’t you? Bethenny Frankel tells you that her margarita mix not only tastes good but keeps the fat at bay, and you are so there. Thus, it is my prediction that the new celebrity-based travel site Trippy.com is going to be highly successful. Not only are you getting tips from the stars, but you actually have the opportunity to travel like they do. Is there anything more alluring? And on that note, please refer to the above photo. That, my friends, is my celebrity crush, Taylor Kitsch, former Friday Night Lights actor and current star of John Carter, which was released today. Taylor, just in case there’s a chance in hell you’re reading, I will go anywhere you say, even if your favorite vacation spot is Gold’s Gym. Fact.

Trippy.com

So, (sadly) moving on from Taylor, let’s talk Trippy. It’s a social travel and mobile app designed to share travel ideas with like-minded individuals.

Obviously each of the celebs involved has their niche. Stylist Rachel Zoe discusses where in the world to find the best fashion items, while Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster, yo! Way to bring back the 80s!) reveals her top kid-friendly hotel picks. Jason Mraz mentions his favorite veggie fare in Bali, while Anthony Bordain will no doubt list his restaurants among the world’ best eats.

Personally, I hope Jennifer Love Hewitt gets involved. That girl knows her shizzle about where to hook up around the world for sure. Does anyone recall that she actually flew to San Francisco for an afternoon to go on a date with Ben the Bachelor? C’est la vie, Bennie Boy: if only you had felt the love for Love you wouldn’t have ended up with the rake and hoe Courtney Robertson.

But again, I digress. Rachel Zoe always looks fabulous (for a prune-faced stick insect) and I do respect her style, so I’ve included her hottest spots in Paris, Los Angeles and London. If you’re wondering what in the hell she knows about love, well, all I can say is that she’s married to a hot investment banker for over 15 years and has a cute (for a kid) baby.
