A new poll shows what women want. Do you agree with it?

Don’t deny it — you’ve fantasized about the perfect man...and no, you don’t all always imagine that he’s Ryan Gosling. Your dream dude comes might come to you in the middle of night wrapped in a loincloth, he might have Fabio hair (but probably not, let’s get real), he might be 6’4 and have a big…bank account. Whatever. You’ve pictured him, rebuilt him, re-padded his cod piece and changed his eye color in your dreams an equal number of times as you’ve changed your underwear. Though everyone’s taste is different, a new poll reveals the results of what many of us are looking for. Do you agree with it? Or is your type more obscure (preferable, given that you won’t have to fight the masses for your man)?

My perfect man, Phillip Phillips

Since we’re getting specific here, this is what I want this Christmas instead of a pony.

My fantasy pick has green eyes, brown hair and is over 6 feet (OK, I’ll be honest, he looks a lot like American Idol‘s Phillip Phillips) and 30+. He has a Southern, British or Kiwi/Australian accent. He plays soccer in his free time, works in graphic design/editorial and hates anything trendy.  He’s funny, non-narcissistic and doesn’t snap his fingers at waiters. He likes to snuggle. He favors flip-flops instead of shiny shoes, is a hit with my parents and gets along with my friends. He has an awesome body, but not one with scary sinewy muscles. He will NOT wear puka shells or listen to Yanni.

So what do other girls want? According to the poll by English menswear company  Austin Reed, the perfect man earns about $77K a year, drinks beer and drives an Audi.

Of the 2,000 women polled, these qualities were listed as ‘musts’: good style, a great body and a baby butt smooth face.

The perfect guy can also swim, rides a bike, and makes family his top priority.

A majority of the ladies polled (86%) also say they want a ‘sensitive man’ who calls his mom regularly and cries during movies (** side note, why someone would want a mama’s boy is beyond me).

The ideal dude is 6 feet tall with short, dark hair and brown eyes. Can we be any more specific? Yes, we can. He must also be a carnivore.

A spokesperson for Austin Reed told the Huffington Post: “It would seem that women have high expectations when it comes to the perfect man. How a man is presented is obviously going to be a huge part of that. While women don’t want a man to be too preened, they would like him to be stylish and up to date with current trends.”
