A touching proposal has one woman on hot pursuit of an unidentified engaged couple
The date: July 2. The location: the Washington War Memorial in Washington D.C. The scene: A romantic proposal. Why I’m writing about it: a photographer witnessed a swoon-worthy engagement and wants to track down the mystery couple to give them the evidence of what is, perhaps, the most romantic moment of their lives.
Amateur photographer Angila Golik nearly walked into the middle of a magic moment earlier this month when she spotted a couple standing right in the center of the lighted pavilion. She thought he might propose, and was proven right when he kneeled down and popped the question right there by the Washington Monument.
After reviewing the photographs some time later, Golik decided the snaps weren’t hers to own, and set about trying to find the couple to give them their pre-wedding gift.

She contacted Andrews Air Force Base about placing an ad with the photos in their newspaper, but without permission from the couple, the base can’t use the pictures.
“That is my goal,” she told HuffPost Weddings. “Find the couple and give them the photos of a magical night.”
A worthy objective. Go forth and conquer, young woman. Perhaps you can be their wedding photographer!
